Permanent, part time role. 0.2fte (8 hours per week)Based in Point Chevalier (Auckland), easily accessible via public transportWe are seeking a Weekend Cook to join our team at Tupu Ora - Residential Eating Disorders, for one weekend shift per week.Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is firmly grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is committed to building a health system that serves all New Zealanders.About the RoleThe primary purpose of the role is to provide quality meals to customers and ensure that meals served are of the highest quality; stored at the correct temperatures and meal presentation exceeds customer experience.
You will be responsible for preparing food according to the recipes and production schedules set by Dietitians and the Kitchen Coordinator, ensuring food and safety standards are always met. Cleaning tasks and ensuring a clean workspace is also a key component of this role.Please click here for the full position description.About the Team/Service/ LocationTupu Ora is the Regional Eating Disorders Service. It is a regional specialist service providing assessment and treatment for adolescents and adults with eating disorders.
Tupu Ora also provides consultation to and liaison with community services and hospitals in the Metro Auckland region as well as specialist support to Northland and the Midland region. The Tupu Ora Eating Disorders Unit (TOEDU) is a 9 bedded unit.
The unit provides an eating disorder intensive treatment programme for clients aged 15+ who have a diagnosis of an eating disorder AN, BN and/or EDNOS. Individualised treatment plans are constructed to meet the unique needs of the client including initial assessment, weight restoration, and stabilisation and harm reduction pathways.
