Sales Assistant and Roof Rack Technician
In the position of Retail Assistant you will be involved in sales and customer service in both kayaks and kayak accessories and roof racks and roof rack accessories. A big part of the role includes roof rack fittings and problem solving to provide solutions for out of the box customer needs so you will need to be able to show initiative and have great problem solving skills.
Duties will include:- Meeting personal sales targets and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction
- Stock management which includes stock ordering, stock taking and receiving stock
- Store display
- Occasional on water kayak demonstrations
- Store admin duties
- Roof rack fittings (some fittings require drilling into car roofs, you must be comfortable using power tools)
We also have the option to employ two part time employees to cover these hours so please feel free to apply even if you cannot commit to full time work.
Experience in the automotive industry would be an advantage as roof rack fittings are a big part of our business. Knowledge of kayaking equipment/roof rack components and their uses and applications preferable however training will be provided to the right person.
You must have excellent customer service skills and able to use initiative and lead by example in a varied role.
