As Director
  • Communications, Engagement and Marketing, you will lead a high-performing team to design and deliver a unified communications strategy that encompasses internal engagement, brand leadership, marketing, reputation management, and organisational culture alignment.
You will be a trusted advisor to the Chief Executive and the Board on all matters related to the communications strategy including brand risk, internal alignment and public positioning.

  • What you will bring Extensive executive leadership experience in communications, public affairs, marketing or media strategy Demonstrated success developing and delivering large-scale national communication, engagement and marketing strategies Experience navigating reputational risk and leading crisis communications in high-profile environments Strong understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and cultural safety in public communications Proven experience leading digital and creative communications teams in large, complex organisations during periods of organisational change Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse groups, including media, agencies, iwi and community partners Deep understanding of the machinery of government and Crown entity accountabilitiesNōu te rourou
