About the Role:
As a CBRE Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining small to medium-sized buildings, industrial systems, and equipment.
This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.
What You'll Do:
- General Maintenance: Door and lock repairs, painting, patching walls, replacing ceiling tiles, and fixing furniture.
- Plumbing: Changing tap washers, unclogging drains, fixing minor leaks.
- Electrical (basic): Replacing light bulbs, power sockets, and switches (if licensed or under supervision)
- Safety Checks: Fire extinguisher inspections, emergency light testing, exit sign checks.
- Cleaning & Waste Support: Minor cleaning, waste segregation, ensuring plant rooms and workshops are tidy.
- Event/Office Setup: Moving furniture, hanging whiteboards, setting up rooms for events.
- Vendor Escorting: Supervising contractors for specialized works.
- Complete daily checklists and maintenance logs.
- Basic reporting on completed works, parts used, or defects noticed.
- Support with Preventive Maintenance (PM) schedules.
What You'll Need:
- High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
- Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
- Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
- Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
- Familiar with work order systems
